I Heart Sprite

I have been more sick in the last three days than I have my entire life. I have never been sick for longer than 24 hours, so 72 hours was a record for me (not that I was aiming for that). On the other hand, I have never been so happy to be feeling "normal" again. Some highlights from my sick escapade.

{Saturday at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival, front gate}
My fourth time throwing up for the day, the first time in front of complete strangers. I could never have imagined laughing following something like that, but picture this. I look up to see "W" peering around to look from his stroller with a gleeful look in his eye. (So glad he was entertained) and then he proceeds to mimick the throwing up sound and trying to spit. I couldn't help but laugh.

{This moring, lying in bed}
"W" still sleeping with his head on my stomach. I had a bowl of dry cereal between my legs that I was munching on. PBTB brought me some sprite (mmmmm, sprite). He tries to pick "W" up and move him, so that I can sit up to drink........Have you ever seen a cat hunt with it's eyes closed? (they have double eyelids)..........Next thing I know, "W" has a handful of cereal that he's shoving in his mouth. I don't think he would have even woke up if I hadn't been laughing so hard.

So, anyhow, pics of Seatlle/Portland coming soon. Sorry, no barfing pics.

That's What I'm Talkin' 'Bout

When I saw this on KSL Classifieds, I couldn't resist. The kid is so busy and I thought better for him to bounce around in this, then off my walls. Yes, it was probably poor judgement on my part to buy such a large toy when we will be so limited on space sometime soon, but, like I said, I couldn't resist.

Leo likes it too.

And getting out is equally as fun.

And Daddy Says "Keep Your Mind in the Middle"

"W" LOVED his little miniature horse named Rusty. He grinned the entire time and cried when we took him away. Momma was so sad she forgot her camera, hence the lame camera phone pics.

Little a' this, Little a' that

I have been trying to preoccupy my time lately, so that I can pretend I am living another life at the moment. I have been knitting A LOT, but no FO's to post about yet. I have also been sewing A LOT. I have to go down in the Yarn Queen's basement and crack the whip or she would never get anything done. Here is a horrible picture of a pillow case that I made for "W" (he picked out the fabric, dogs, of course) I have a deep attachment to my pillow and "W" decided that he did too, so I had to get him his own, beat to death, feather down pillow.

Here a few pictures from the wedding that I did last weekend. I enjoy doing big weddings.......1 bridal bouquet, 1 toss bouquet, 8 centerpieces, 8 bouts, and 11 corsages. However, between the right color hydrangea being out of season and temperamental flowers that might wilt if you look at them wrong, I think I could be happy without any more weddings in the near future. Luckily I was dealing with a really sweet bride that was very understanding.

If you remember my last bridal bouquet post, these hydrangea are no way near the same color.

If you do not find a "can't live without", please check back soon and often. More things will be posted regularly.

The Old Man is Snoring

Nothing says Utah like going from 100 to 60 degree weather in 24 hours. I don't remember a time when I was more excited to see rain, it's been a while. "W" was also very excited about the rain. I think he thought it was his birthday again, with the non-stop oooohhhhhing.

"W" and PBTB watching all the joyriders plow through the flooding roads. (Yes, there is a car underneath all that water.)

Wow, a picture of myself, what a novelty. It would be right after I was frolicking through the rain after a one year old. Drat!

Ok, I still love that face, but now I need to attempt a picture where he's not doing that.

This weather makes me want to knit, gotta go :)
