Double Birthday

Saturday was a double birthday. Little Brother turned 24 and "W" turned 3 months (although he fits in 6-12 month clothing).

Other news that is probably only exciting to me; "W" has now learned to grab his toys and play with them, so cute. I already have my Christmas tree up, now that's impressive.
Thanks Grandma for the cool bomber hat!

Turning Point

It's time.......time to start thinking Christmas! I am so excited. I love Christmas, more than Halloween even. Thanksgiving was great. I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life. I have more than I deserve. Today, PBTB, "W" and I lounged around and ate leftovers, no black friday shopping for us. Although, we did 80% of our Christmas shopping online at Barnes & Noble. We decided that everyone is getting books this year.

We have been reading a lot lately. A week ago, we read "Train to Potevka", we highly recommend it. PBTB has been reading "The Age of Turbulence" and "Walt Whitman, "Leaves of Grass". I started on the Twilight series just under a month ago, love it. We finished book number three this morning. And then we moved on to re-reading the Harry Potter books. I love days like this when I can just spend time with my husband and baby. Here is a picture of "W" in his outfit to celebrate the birth of the 2007 Christmas season. (Yes, mommy knit his hat)

Hey, Santa!

Yesterday was free Santa Pictures at my store. Santa informed PBTB and I that "W" had been very good. We all got our picture taken and survived the whole ordeal.

"W" is still growing like mad. I don't even want to check how far above the 90th percentile he is now. According to our inaccurate weighing on our own scale, he is around 16 lbs. and we had to move him to size 3 diapers, for all the moms out there who that makes sense to. He is a happy little guy and he loves to snuggle, which works out, because his mommy and daddy do too.

Thank you Aunt Pat for the cute sweater & socks for "W"

Hoo Hoo

For those that don't know, I am a Halloween fanatic. That means homemade costumes and a Halloween party every year. This year was the best so far because we had "W" to dress up too. He was an owl and PBTB and I were trees. We spent most of the day preparing amidst the normal new mother routine. I was terrified "W" would have a blowout in his costume, but he was a good baby and spared me.

The night began with giggles and a proud Mommy tree.
And then here's "W" crying while getting his photo taken at my store.
And finally, "W" slept through most of the party, he was exhausted after only stopping once to Trick or Treat.
On a final note, I forgot to mention that we have a new member to add to the Royal blogging family. A round of applause for "Our5People". People meaning children, of course, 2 of which are new twin boys. Hooray for blogging!
